COMBO CLASSES
In Thrive's Combo Classes, young dancers Age 3-7 get the best of both worlds- two genres in one class! This is where we plant seeds and learn the essential fundamentals of Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Hip-Hop.

Attire:
Jazz & Tap-
Any color leotard, flesh-tone tights, flesh-tone jazz shoes or black tap shoes

Jazz & Hip-Hop-
Any color leotard, flesh-tone tights, flesh-tone jazz shoes. For Hip-Hop, dancers may layer with shirts and sweatpants, tennis shoes are required.

JAZZ
We believe that it is imperative for dancers to understand the history of Jazz and have the opportunity to learn every type of Jazz dance. While most commonly focussing on Pop and Commercial Jazz, Intermediate and Advanced classes will also get the opportunity to learn about Vernacular, Classical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Latin-Jazz, Afro-Jazz, and more!

Athletic clothing and dance attire only. No jeans, dresses, or loose fitting shorts without underlining. Jazz shoes or Half-sole turners.

JAZZ FUNK
Jazz Funk is a unique blend of Commercial Jazz techniques with Street Styles. Think back-up dancers and commercials. This class is for our sassy divas!

Athletic clothing or dance attire. Layering is acceptable. Tennis shoes or jazz shoes.

STREET STYLES
This class focusses on Hip-Hop, Popping, Locking, Whacking, Vogueing, House, Waving, Liquiding, Puppeting, Clowning, Krump, and more! At Thrive, we believe in teaching the history and foundations of Hip-Hop and other Street Styles so that dancers experience and understand the beatuy of Hip-Hop as a dance, artform, and culture.

Street clothing that can be comfortably moved around in. Tennis shoes.

BALLET
Ballet at Thrive Dance Artistry is a blend of techniques, primarily based in the Cecchetti Method. This class is an excellent supplement for technical foundations. Students will learn classical, neoclassical, contemporary, and ballet repertoire from leading companies.

Leotard, flesh-toned tights, and flesh-toned ballet shoes. Layers are acceptable. Hair must be worn out of the face.

TECHNIQUE
Technique class at Thrive refers to Jazz techniques and tricks that are used in the competitive and professional realm of dance. Our technique methods are focussed on safe anatomical practices that set dancers up for long-term health and success. We believe that with a strong foundation, dancers will flourish and accomplish any of their goals. This class will focus on strength, flexibility, foundations, and tricks. Dancers will learn different variations of pirouettes, battements, extensions, jumps, and leaps according to each level.

CONTEMPORARY
Contemporary class at Thrive includes a range of genres from contemporary, contemporary-jazz, lyrical, modern, and safety release practices. This class focuses on improvisation, floorwork, choreography, and artistry. Advanced classes explore concert choreography and a taste of what it's like to be on a professional company. Contemporary at Thrive is where we get in touch with our inner artist and experience movement through emotions.
